I used to write music and organise festivals. Now I help government and citizens to get along better.
Hello! I found my place in product design after years of writing music, organising festivals, storytelling through marketing campaigns, and scriptwriting.
Today, I orchestrate by using design to bring together policy, tech, and operations. I'm motivated by my interest in bettering the relationship between government and citizens. That same driving force also led me to build a personal project that helped over 22,000 Singaporeans navigate their home-buying journey.
Currently
Senior Product Designer at CPF Board, where I'm the sole designer of PLAN with CPF, an online financial guidance platform that helps Singaporeans take charge of their financial health across different life stages. I also support the entire retirement vertical and embark on miscellaneous side quests to create a myriad of other experiences that benefit CPF members.
What I value
Spirit of public service
My personal north star is to better the lives of those around me, by doing stuff for public good.
Systems thinking
I consider scalability and how things affect the larger ecosystem.
Getting things done
I will do whatever it takes to deliver, including wearing PM, UXR, eng, comms and policy hats.
Honesty
Come as you are. I value authenticity, kindness and silliness. I want us to enjoy working together!
Previous experiences and how they've shaped me
Years of running events and performing onstage have taught me to expect for things to go sideways, and adapt on-the-fly. That has shaped how I approach design — I can hold the big picture while juggling several moving parts, pivot when the situation changes, and stay level-headed without losing my creative spark.
In pictures — past life as a musician
I used to compose and perform music in various modalities and settings.

And now — life as a product designer
I'm privileged to currently be at a position where I can better the relationship between government and citizen!

Doing research with actual CPF members. We want whatever to build to be of value to them, because as public service we invest resources only if it is in national interest.
Discussing user flows with my PLAN with CPF team. When working in a multi-stakeholder team, it's important to align often!

For fun
Here's what I do in whatever time I have between wrangling the joyous chaos of parenting a toddler 🤪

I recently fulfilled an admirable life-long dream of baking using a proper oven. Glad to report that no one has been poisoned yet. I try to bake at least once a month.
I'm obsessed with playing the credit card miles game. I built and maintain a spreadsheet, which I populate every night before I go to bed — so that I always know what credit card to use for any expense!

I love mahjong! For almost a decade, I have been playing at least once a month with friends. This hand is one of my best achievements thus far! 🀄
I run my housing estate's resident group chat on Telegram! I enjoy putting my flair in facilitating conversations, connecting with people, and maintaining order to good use.

When you are a parent of a 3-year-old you make stuff like this in your spare time 🤷♀️
Finally, welcome to my collection of earrings. I might need space for more.

You made it here — thanks for reading!
