HDB Flat Portal Redesign
A proposal containing analyses, recommendations, and an end-to-end design process
Summary
In 2021, Singapore's Housing Development Board (HDB) launched a new flat portal intended to "streamline and simplify the process of buying and selling HDB flats" (see here for Minister for National Development Desmond Lee's Facebook post on this). The portal is accessible at the following link:
Being an active member of the Telegram Housing Community, I noticed several users of the portal citing issues of its "poor usability". With this, I hence attempted to redesign the portal's interface.
My Proposal
In the deck of slides below, I have analysed the structure of the portal, proposed some recommendations in terms of user experience, as well as put together an end-to-end design process for a theoretical redesign of the portal.
